Class Times: Costs: The cost per student is $30 per month. There are no hidden fees and no costs for belt testing. GKD is a not for profit dojo. The first two classes are free and you are welcome to come out and watch a class anytime.

The children’s classes at Guelph Karate Dojo are subject to limited enrollment to preserve the quality of instruction and individual attention. All children’s classes at GKD are taught by qualified BLACK BELT instructors. Generally children between the ages of 7-13 are accepted into the children’s classes and older students into the adults classes. |

Special circumstances are considered, please contact Sensei Michael. At GKD your child will develop discipline and respect while learning traditional Okinawan karate. They will develop self confidence, self respect and a sense of accomplishment in a fun, understanding and safe environment. These skills, although learned in the Karate Dojo, easily transfer to all areas of your child's life including personal relationships, academics and other sports. The children’s classes are run similar to the adult classes, the children do all the same stretches, calisthenics and exercises as the adults (appropriately modified). Your child will develop flexibility, strength and increase their cardiovascular fitness as well as learn self defense skills. |
