Guelph Kudaka Dojo belongs to the Canadian Shorinjiryu Kudaka Federation, a community of Shorinjiryu dojos from across Ontario and into Quebec. Several times a year the GKD will get together to compete in Kudaka Federation tournaments.

Hanshi Doug Roberts, Kenhan 8th Dan, Chairman of Shorinjiryu Kudaka Karatedo.
Hanshi Roberts was an original student of Hanshi Masayuki Kukan Hisataka, who taught in Canada from 1967 to 1976. In 1983 Hanshi Doug Roberts relocated from Montreal to Toronto and established the Butsudokan dojo, which became the Hombu dojo of the Shorinjiryu Kudaka Karate Federation. |

Hanshi Brian Aarons, Kenhan 8th Dan, President of Shorinjiryu Kudaka Karatedo Along with Shorinjiryu Kenkokan rankings, Brian Aarons is also 1st Kyu Brown in Judo, instructs T'ai Chi Chuan (Yang style) and has worked in sports hypnosis with several karateka and two kick-boxing champions. Hanshi Aarons was also one of Hanshi Masayuki Kukan Hisataka’s original Canadian students. "People are always interested in a person's credentials to justify their statements," says Hanshi Aarons. Shihan Wolfgang Boggs, 7th Dan, Vice-President of
Shihan Boggs has been studying many forms of martial arts for over 30 years. He is the founder of the Guelph Kudaka Dojo.
His studies include Karate, Hapkido, Kung-fu and Tai-Chi. Sensei Wolf has taught Karate for the past 20 years, heading Dojos in both Guelph and Kingston. Sensei Boggs has currently retired from instruction. |

Shihan Cussler is head instructor at the Kingston Kobura Kudaka Dojo, in Kingston Ontario.

Shihan Rick Black, 6th Dan Black Belt
Shihan Black Shihan Rick Black began studying Shorinjiryu Karatedo in 1980, when he trained under the instruction of Hanshi Doug Roberts and Shihan Wayne Donovan. Sensei Black was promoted to the rank of Shodan 1st Dan Black Belt by Hanshi Masayuki Hisataka in 1983.
In 1992 Hanshi Doug Roberts passed on the dojo to Sensei Black, now relocated at the Sakura Dojo in Mississauga. |
